As we all know that Apple is well known for its tablets, similarly Sony is also known for its smart phones. Both the two companies have launched their new products with lots and lots of user friendly apps which generally confuses the users whether to go with Apple or Samsung. Apple has launched its 3rd generation iPad which is “The New iPad” and on the other hand Sony has launched its Xperia S. Here are some comparisons between the two.
Body and Display: - As compared to Sony Xperia S which weights 144g, iPad3 is much heavier. It weights 653 g. Its display contains a LCD-backlit TFT capacitive touch screen of 9.7 inches whereas Xperia S contains LCD-backlit touch screen of just 4.3 inches.
Storage Capacity:- Apple’s iPad3 has an internal memory storage of 16/32/64 GB with 1 GB of RAM whereas Sony Xperia S supports an internal memory storage of 32 GB with 1 GB of RAM.
Camera: - This iPad3 of Apple supports an auto focus 5MP of camera with 2592*1944 pixels of resolutions. This camera of iPad3 has features like touch focus and face detection. On the other hand Xperia S of Sony contains 12 MP of camera with high resolution of 4000*3000 pixels.
Apple’s iPad3 supports iOS 5.1 with 1GHz Cortex -A9 Dual-core processor whereas Sony’s Xperia S supports Android OS v2.3 with 1.5 GHZ Dual-core processor. Although Xperia S supports Java, GPS whereas iPad3 do not supports Java and GPS. Additionally iPad3 gives high battery backups as compared to Xperia S.
