Nexus 7 vs iPad 3 - Which One to Opt


As we all know that Apple is leading in the market with its new tablet which is known as “The New iPad”.  But nowadays, Google started capturing the market with its new tablet which is “Nexus 7”. Here are some differences between the two tablets based on their specifications which will be surely going to help the users in making their choices.

Body and Display: - Nexus 7 is a light weight tablet of 340 g and 198.5*120 *10.5 mm dimensions. On the other hand iPad3 is much heavier as compared to Nexus 7. It weights 652 g with 241.2*187.5*9.4 mm dimensions. Nexus 7 have smaller display as compared to iPad3. It contains 7.0 inches of display screen with 800*1280 pixels of resolution whereas iPad3 contains 9.7 inches of display screen with 1536*2048 pixels of resolution.

Memory: - Both of the tablet i.e. iPad3 and Nexus 7 doesn’t have card slot for memory card, although they have an internal memory for data storage. Nexus 7 has internal memory storage up to 8/16 GB with 1 GB of RAM whereas iPad3 has internal memory storage up to 16/32/64 GB with 1 GB of RAM.

Camera and Battery: - Nexus 7 supports camera of 1.2 MP without any support of secondary camera whereas iPad3 supports camera of 5 MP and secondary VGA camera to provide the facility of video calling. Additionally both the two tablets of Apple and Google supports standard battery but Nexus 7 supports Li-Lon battery of 4325 mAh whereas iPad3 supports Li-Po battery of 11,560 mAh.

Nexus 7 is a tablet of Google with no support for GSM voice communication, SMS and MMS whereas iPad3 which is an Apple’s tablet that do not support GSM voice communication. It supports iOS 5.1 with Dual-Core 1 GHz Cortex A-9 CPU whereas Nexus supports Android OS of version 4.1 with Quad-Core 1 GHz Cortex A-9 CPU. Both of the two tablets are nowadays made available in the market with different colors. So if the user whether he/she ready to invest for the best, then it’s better to go with iPad3 instead of Nexus 7.
